I am so unbelievably sorry for not updating my blog for the past 3-4 weeks. I really am sorry. I was on a research trip in Seattle and Canada studying whales (or would that be Wailords?) and trying to figure my life out. Seeing as I was literally on a sailboat in the middle of the ocean, I had no internet, and thus could not update my blog every Saturday.
For those of who who tried to figure out what happened, or actually read the author's comments (if you did, thank you, keep it up. If not, you should read them. I'm important.), I informed you of this trip ahead of time, and told you that my sister was going to fill in for me whilst I was away. Needless to say, she did not.
Bad sister. Very bad sister. Shame on you.
I only had a chance to call home four times on the entire trip, and each time, she swore to me that she would take care of it. But, what's passed is passed. Thank you for reading at all. I shall leave this up for anyone who wants an explanation, if anyone still checks this blog at all anymore. If you do read this message, PLEASE alert me to your existence so that I may retain my internet happiness. I can see who views my blog when and from what country on my dashboard, and... Well. To whoever usually comes back every week or every few weeks, please return to/continue doing that. (Especially my returning French viewer. I have no idea who you are, and I have no idea why you make me so happy, but I love seeing my one view from France every week!)
I promise that I shall continue the story next week, because it is very late, and I am running on very little sleep, therefore, I am not really in a state to write right now. I'm going to have to spell check this message at least four times as it is. I still have to find Splash. She hasn't come back to me yet, no matter how much I try to think like her. I should explain. When I think like a character, I think of it as having them telling me what to write or writing it themselves, like I know them personally. I try to give them as realistic a feel as possible. If they feel real to me, they (hopefully) should feel real to you all!
Please forgive me, and please come back to my blog.
~Chief
PS Special shoutout to Captain Kevin Campion, the crew of the Orion, and Deep Green Wilderness! Thanks for giving me an amazing three weeks!
PPS I saw an Orca within 20 feet of our boat, ok? That's awesome.
